Web 1.0, 2.0, 3.0!

Web 1.0

Web 1.0 is the basic website, it is generally things you can read. These websites are used for sharing and connecting information. There is not a connection between the reader and the publisher.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/dictionary is a great example of a 2.0 website because it is a one way street. You can't get on and edit or comment on the dictionary it is just a page for consumers to view and read.
Web 2.0

Web 2.0 is a social web, this is where you find blogs and social media. There is a back and forth between users and a connection and interaction.
https://www.facebook.com is a great example of a Web 2.0 website because of the interaction aspect.

Web 3.0

Web 3.0 is the teaching web. This is where we teach websites to with specific information given to them. They then in turn can personalize web pages specifically for us. Siri is a really great example of Web 3.0.
